Refund policy
● Our Commitment
At Easy Hause, we want you to be happy with your purchase. If something goes wrong with your order, we will work with you to resolve the issue fairly and in accordance with applicable South African consumer law.
Nothing in this policy is intended to limit, exclude or waive any rights you may have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) or any other applicable law.
● Returns Under Consumer Law
Your statutory consumer rights are not affected by this policy. Where the Consumer Protection Act gives you a right to return a product, request a repair, replacement or refund, Easy Hause will honour those rights in accordance with the Act.
This may include circumstances where goods are defective, unsafe, unsuitable for their ordinary purpose, or do not meet the applicable requirements of the CPA.
● Damaged or Incorrect Items
Please contact us as soon as reasonably possible if your order arrives damaged, defective, incomplete or if you received the wrong product.
To help us resolve the matter quickly, please provide:
- Your order number
- A description of the problem
- Clear photographs or video where appropriate
- Any other information reasonably required to assess the issue
● Change-of-Mind Returns
Where a return is requested because you have changed your mind and the return is not otherwise required by the CPA, Easy Hause may accept the return at its discretion and subject to the conditions below.
Any voluntary change-of-mind return does not replace or restrict any statutory right you may have under applicable law.
● Return Conditions
Where a voluntary return is accepted, products should generally:
- Be unused and in their original condition
- Be returned with original packaging where reasonably possible
- Include all accessories and components supplied with the product
- Be securely packaged to prevent damage during the return
These conditions do not override any rights you may have under the Consumer Protection Act.
● Products That Are Defective
If a product is defective or does not comply with applicable consumer rights, please contact us so that we can assess the issue and provide the appropriate remedy.
Depending on the circumstances and the rights applicable to the transaction, the remedy may include repair, replacement or refund.
● Refunds
Where a refund is approved or required, the refund will generally be made using the original payment method where reasonably possible.
The time it takes for the refunded amount to appear in your account may depend on your bank or payment provider and is outside of Easy Hause's control.
● Return Shipping
Where a return is required because Easy Hause supplied an incorrect, defective or non-conforming product, we will deal with the reasonable return or collection arrangements in accordance with applicable law.
For voluntary change-of-mind returns that are not required by law, the customer may be responsible for reasonable return delivery costs.
● How To Request a Return
To request a return, contact Easy Hause using the contact details below and provide:
- Your full name
- Your order number
- The product you wish to return
- The reason for the return
- Photographs or other supporting information where relevant
● Items That Cannot Be Returned
Certain products may not be eligible for a voluntary change-of-mind return because of their nature, hygiene considerations, customisation, or other applicable legal exceptions.
However, this does not exclude any statutory rights that apply where a product is defective, unsafe, unsuitable or otherwise fails to meet the requirements of applicable consumer law.
● Exchanges
Where appropriate, Easy Hause may offer an exchange for an eligible product. Where the law provides a different remedy, your statutory rights will take precedence.
● Promotional or Sale Items
Products purchased during promotions or at discounted prices remain subject to applicable consumer rights. A promotion or sale does not remove rights provided by the Consumer Protection Act.
Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude or limit any consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
